Bulembu Country Lodge is a scenic 385km drive east of Johannesburg and Johannesburg International Airport (OR Tambo International), or a short 105km drive from Matsapha Airport, near Manzini a city in Manzini District of Swaziland.
For guests arriving at Johannesburg International we would recommend to book a domestic flight from Johannesburg International to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in Nelspruit. Nelspruit is a mere 87km drive from Bulembu, traveling on the R40 via Barberton and Josefsdal Border post, along one of the most scenic routes in Southern Africa.
Josefsdal Border post is open from 08:00 – 16:00 daily.
Important to note: The road from Bulembu to Piggs Peak is an 18km dirt road. Please be aware that the condition of this road frequently requires 4×4 vehicle to travel on it, especially in and after rainfall. Please call the Bulembu Lodge Reception on +26876021593 for advice on this before you travel. The alternate tar road from South Africa via Barberton is in good condition and suitable for all vehicles, with beautiful views of the UNESCO World Heritage site route.
